Job Title: Multi Stop Delivery and Collection Driver
The Company: APC North Devon, Tiverton, Devon.
Job Summary: Drive up to 3.5 tonne vehicles in the delivery and collection of parcels from customers.
Responsible to: Operations Supervisor

Skills/Knowledge and Experience:

• Hold a full UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points and must be over the age of 21 for insurance purposes.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Good organisation skills to be able to load your vehicle efficiently.
• Strong geographical knowledge of North Devon.
• Ability to work well under pressure, and problem solve.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to learn handheld devices with training.
• Knowledge of the parcel industry would be preferable.

Main Responsibilities:
The main areas of responsibility and expectations for this role are as detailed below:

• Sortation of parcels from cages and pallets, routing to the back of vehicles in numerical order for loading on to vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with debrief processes are followed when leaving the depot in the morning and returning back at the end of the day.
• Follow vehicle defect reporting procedures, ensuring your vehicle is defect reported every day before leaving the depot.
• Driving up to 3.5 tonne vehicles in a safe and professional manner for:
  • Delivery of parcels from the depot to customer addresses.
  • Collection of parcels from customer addresses to the depot.
• Use Company issued handheld devices in line with training and update these accordingly with any delivery and collection i.e. photographs of delivery, scanning items on collection.
• Unloading of vehicles on the PM operation sorting into the correct cages.
• Ensuring that all vehicles used are kept clean and tidy for use.
• Any other duties as required.
