About the Role
My client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Intake & Assessment Officer to support the intake, screening and referral of cases requiring protective and social support services.
You will play a key role in ensuring referrals are accurately assessed, triaged and coordinated with the appropriate stakeholders, while maintaining high standards of service and confidentiality.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong administrative, coordination and stakeholder management skills who are passionate about supporting community and social service initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate intake referrals, including appeals and enquiries, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Review, screen and triage incoming cases according to established guidelines.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain records within the case management system.
- Prepare responses to screening enquiries and provide case status updates to stakeholders.
- Refer cases to the appropriate agencies or service providers for follow-up support.
- Perform administrative closure of cases and maintain data accuracy.
- Monitor shared mailboxes and ensure timely processing of incoming referrals.
- Support the continuous improvement of intake workflows and operational processes.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Intake & Assessment team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Public Administration, Business or a related discipline.
- Experience in case management, operations, customer service, social services or programme administration will be an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
