We are seeking a customer-focused Application Engineer to promote and support our solutions across Southeast Asia. The role involves engaging with customers and channel partners, delivering technical presentations, providing pre-sales and project support, and recommending solutions that meet customer needs. The successful candidate will also help develop the technical capabilities of distributors and sales teams through training, coaching, and technical guidance, with regular regional travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Business Development
    • Promote and present the company's products and solutions to consultants, end users, contractors, and other key stakeholders in partnership with local sales teams and representatives.
    • Gather customer feedback, identify recurring technical inquiries and market needs, and communicate insights to the regional marketing team to support product enhancement and innovation.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing initiatives, including trade shows, seminars, conferences, and other industry events.
    • Support the APAC marketing team with competitive market analysis and the development or updating of sales and technical presentation materials.
  • Sales & Technical Support
    • Provide technical and commercial support to the regional sales team by responding to inquiries, preparing equipment selections, quotations, and project documentation.
    • Advise sales teams on project-specific solution strategies to maximize opportunities and customer value.
    • Lead or participate in bid clarification and technical review meetings with customers and project stakeholders.
    • Develop the technical capabilities of sales personnel and distributors through product training, coaching, and hands-on guidance, enabling them to independently deliver presentations and utilize sales tools effectively.
  • Success Measures
    • Influence customers to recognize and prioritize long-term value over initial cost considerations.
    • Deliver timely and accurate quotations and supporting documentation.
    • Strengthen distributor and representative competence through ongoing training and development.
    • Improve sales effectiveness and project win rates through technical support and solution selling.
    • Contribute to increased profitability by demonstrating the value proposition of the company products and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Control Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing, sales support, application engineering, or technical sales role.
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in cooling technologies, HVAC systems, and related industrial applications.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional Southeast Asian languages is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, coordinate, and influence stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to identify customer challenges and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Quick learner with strong technical aptitude and the ability to adapt to new technologies and products.
  • Confident presenter with the ability to deliver engaging technical and commercial presentations to diverse audiences.
