My client is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Psychologist to support psychological initiatives. This role focuses on advancing trauma-informed (TI) practices and contributing to applied crime psychology projects that support operational and organisational needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of a trauma-informed framework, while also supporting behavioural analysis, research initiatives, training, and crisis support functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drawing on psychological and behavioural science knowledge to support the conceptualisation and refinement of a trauma-informed (TI) framework
  • Developing implementation strategies and guidelines to integrate trauma-informed practices across operations, training programmes, and support services
  • Conducting stakeholder consultations and needs assessments
  • Designing and developing relevant training materials and resources
  • Conducting applied research in crime psychology and related domains
  • Supporting operational matters through behavioural analyses where required
  • Conducting training and assessment work for various courses
  • Providing crisis support to officers when necessary
  • Performing any other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Good Degree in Psychology (At least 2nd Upper with Honours or Distinction) or other relevant behavioural science disciplines
  • Relevant work experience in psychology or behavioural sciences; experience in applied forensic or related fields will be advantageous
  • Experience in research and project management will be advantageous
  • Strong understanding of statistics and proficiency in statistical software
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
