As part of our team, you will contribute to maintaining our 'Level A' accreditation in Quality Assessment Framework (QAF), which is denoted for "excellence and leaders in their field" in national performance standards. Role Overview This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated Domestic Cleaner who is able to work full time and contribute to the high standards of premium housing and supported living services for vulnerable adults who suffer from mental health and living in a supported housing environment. You will have relevant hands-on experience and qualifications with an ethos of continuous improvement to achieve exceptional high standards. This is a mainly static, full-time role, working 37.5 hours/week.

Key Requirements

  • Must be able and willing to work between 7:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
  • To clean all allocated units and offices, including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment.
  • To clean sanitary and other equipment, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestations.
  • To deal with waste bags including clinical waste.
  • To work in accommodation with the Accommodation Manager in maintaining standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the supported accommodation.
  • To work to the identified and agreed cleaning schedules, without intruding on tenant's preferences.
  • To have an understanding of health and safety issues, i.e. COSHH, manual handling and cross infection, as well as an understanding of social legislation i.e. 1983 Mental Health Act.
  • Strong command of the English language - both written and verbal.
  • Good computer skills and digital dexterity.
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload.
  • Warm and friendly demeanour with a positive and open-minded attitude.
  • Thirst for knowledge, strive for excellence, and a humble posture of learning.
