We’re doing exciting things, with our highly specialist team
At Apatura, we develop projects that power clean energy and a thriving digital world — from battery storage to data centres. It’s complex, high-impact work, delivered by a highly capable team who move quickly and care deeply about doing things well.
We’re driven by bold ideas, a strong sense of purpose and a willingness to challenge how things are usually done. With a growing pipeline of projects and ambitious plans to expand the business, this role offers the chance to play a key part in supporting Apatura’s next stage of growth.
About the role
We’re looking for someone to provide hands‑on real estate legal support to our growing Legal team. You’ll help keep land and property matters moving smoothly, carrying out title reviews and searches, supporting land acquisitions, option agreements, servitudes and wayleaves, and working closely with colleagues across the business. This is a great opportunity to build real estate experience within the fast-growing renewable energy sector.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct title reviews and property searches, preparing clear summaries and reports to support project development.
- Support land acquisitions and renewable energy projects by assisting with option agreements and property transactions.
- Help negotiate and document servitudes, wayleaves, easements and other land rights required for project infrastructure.
- Assist with property due diligence for acquisitions, financings and other business transactions.
- Prepare draft real estate documents, including leases, licences, deeds and other property‑related agreements.
- Manage property registrations and post‑completion activities, liaising with relevant authorities to ensure timely completion.
- Liaise with landowners, agents, surveyors and internal stakeholders, responding to property‑related queries and supporting the wider Legal team.
- Handling personal and commercially sensitive information in line with the Company’s confidentiality, legal privilege and data protection (UK GDPR) obligations
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a paralegal or legal support role, with a focus on real estate or property law.
- Experience reviewing titles, conducting property searches, and managing Land Registry or Registers of Scotland applications.
- Good understanding of real estate documents, including option agreements, land acquisition agreements, servitudes and wayleaves.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Well‐organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Discretion when handling confidential and commercially sensitive information.
- Experience within the renewable energy sector would be an advantage.
- Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal status (or working towards accreditation) is desirable.
What we offer:
- Private medical care with Bupa (household included)
- Enhanced pension scheme
- EV salary sacrifice scheme + cycle‑to‑work scheme
- 30 days’ annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays to start, increasing with length of service, plus additional leave over the Christmas period
- Access to free, confidential counselling and other wellbeing resources through our Employee Assistance Programme
- Life assurance scheme at 6x salary
