Interim Group Financial Controller in Newcastle upon Tyne

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to take ownership of group finance operations, strengthen financial controls, and support the business through this dynamic growth period. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for ensuring high‑quality reporting, compliance, and insight across the group.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the day‑to‑day operations of the group finance team, overseeing management and statutory reporting across multiple venues and entities
• Deliver accurate consolidated group management accounts and manage the audit process
• Strengthen financial systems, controls and processes to support scalable growth
• Partner with senior leadership to provide commercial and strategic insight
• Support upcoming acquisitions and integration projects

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE) with strong technical and commercial finance experience
• Proven background as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager
• Hands‑on and adaptable – comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed
• Excellent communicator who can build relationships across a fast‑moving business

Contract: 3–6 months (potential to extend)
