We’re looking for an experienced Lead MuleSoft Engineer to join Apadmi and help our clients build robust, scalable integration architectures. You’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver digital products that power seamless experiences across mobile and web. This is a role for someone technically strong, commercially aware, and ready to step in as a leader and mentor, helping shape our engineering excellence. You’ll be a leader when on a project, which could be from a range of sectors including finance, retail, hospitality, health, or sports. Your role involves taking ownership of technical solutions, ensuring delivery is on time and to specification, while navigating the complexities of Agile and Scrum methodologies. You’ll be the bridge between technical implementation and business requirements, supporting both our people and our projects to drive digital transformation.
What you’ll be working on:
- Lead development work while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Familiar with the rhythm of Agile ceremonies and "on-tools" delivery.
- Pioneer architectures, deliver maintainable code, and ensure your team understands the dependencies and risks associated with their work.
- Facilitate the refinement of upcoming work in conjunction with developers, testers, designers, and product owners.
- Take a leading role in Sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure everyone understands the project objectives.
- Proactively coach and mentor other members of your team to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Engage directly with clients and third parties to elicit technical requirements and map critical project dependencies.
- Support the business in bringing in new work through bids, proposals, and technical estimation.
- Manage the impact of technical decisions on budgets, timelines, and project risks.
- Maintain healthy client relationships through clear communication and effective decision-making support.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Technically strong, solution-oriented, and comfortable leading engineers through complex integration challenges.
- Deep understanding of API ecosystems and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both developers and non-developers.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable setting up projects from scratch while maintaining high organizational standards.
- Comfortable setting up projects from scratch, including CI/CD pipelines and establishing architectural principles.
- Proven experience in leading and coaching engineers within a multi-disciplined team.
- Hold a current MuleSoft Developer certification and have proven experience with complex DataWeave transformations.
- A solid understanding of API design principles and demonstrable knowledge of integration patterns.
- Experience with networking, policy configuration, API security, and implementing best practices.
- A solid background in Object-Oriented programming.
- Comfortable engaging directly with clients and facilitating discussions around systems you may not be familiar with.
- Experienced in working with high-volume traffic projects and ensuring they are delivered to specification.
- Strong familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
