AP Racing is a leading manufacturer of performance brake and clutch systems for high performance road and race cars. The core product range includes clutches, calipers, discs, pads, master cylinders, pedal boxes and air jacks, as well as road and competition brake systems for motorcycles.
Future prospects for successful apprentices is a full-time Research & Development Technician role with opportunity to sponsor further education in this field. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Apprentice Research & Development Technician to join our Test & Validation team. You will play a critical role in the development and improvement of all our Race and Road products.
- Collaborate with the testing and validation team to execute and support all stages of the product development and testing process, following methodologies and tools defined by AP Racing.
- Conduct product testing, including functionality, performance, and durability, to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Develop benches and test set-ups and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of product specifications, testing procedures and related standards.
- Ensure submission of detailed engineering reports.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide technical insights, recommendations, and solutions for product development challenges.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to product development to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the proposal of creative and innovative solutions to increase product efficiency and reduce costs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
Monday - Friday, working hours TBC.
