Our client, a company in the scaffolding/construction industry, is looking for a capable and experienced Senior Accounts Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the full set of accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate and timely financial operations. The ideal candidate should be able to analyse financial reports, provide insights into the company's financial performance and overall business health, and support management in making informed decisions. Candidates with prior experience in the construction or related industry will have an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts independently
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Perform bank reconciliations and GST submissions
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Analyse financial reports and provide management with insights on the company's financial performance and business health
- Assist management with finance-related matters, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring
- Perform any other ad hoc duties and administrative tasks assigned by management from time to time
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in construction/scaffolding industry preferred
- Familiar with accounting software such as Infotech and ACCPAC
- Good understanding of GST and Singapore payroll regulations
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred Qualities
- Experience handling project-based accounting
- Familiar with workers’ payroll and subcontractor payments
- Knowledge of construction-related documentation and billing
