Responsibilities - Accounting Work
- Handle full set of accounts and prepare financial statements for audit purposes.
- Responsible for verifying invoices and processing vendor payments.
- Responsible for billing customers and monitoring accounts receivable.
- Prepare journals and monthly reconciliation schedules.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Record and maintain fixed asset register.
- Assist in daily operation and office related administrative support matters.
- Perform data-entry and maintain efficient filing system for all documentation.
- Assist the Director with daily tasks and follow-up closely.
- Run personal errands if required.
- Able to work in a small team environment.
- Other general administrative ad hoc duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma/degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification.
- 2-4 years relevant accounting work experience in accounting or marine.
- Ability to work independently and deal with multi-task scenarios.
- Fast paced and dynamic working environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have practical working experience with accounting software systems (Xero).
- Ability to work with large amounts of data including synthesising and analysis.
- Experience with visualisation, database and analytical tools (optional).
