A&P Falmouth's facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK. We are looking for Machinists to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Machinist with us, you'll use a range of machining tools to accurately manufacture ship components and parts.
So, what will you do?
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and vertical and horizontal boring machines to manufacture ship components and parts.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Machine parts to precise tolerances and specifications using appropriate tools, techniques and materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

- You’ll have experience as a Machinist or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment or will be eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work.
- You’ll be able to interpret and understand technical drawings.
- You’ll have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and a logical, analytical and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to health & safety.
