Job Description:

Our client is a leading telecommunications company specialising in operating in off-shore jurisdictions. On their behalf we are looking to recruit an in-house lawyer to be part of a global team focusing on regulatory matters in multiple jurisdictions. This role can be based in Guernsey, Jersey or the Isle of Man, and a housing licence can be offered if an applicant is not already resident in these islands.

Applicant will need to be Common-law / UK qualified lawyers with at least 6 PQE experience, preferably already working within a commercial environment. More specifically the telecoms, technology, fintech or the financial sector. Experience in data protection, dispute resolution, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts will be required. Experience of working in a regulated environment and having good relationships with jurisdictional regulators will be highly desirable.

Applicants should be commercially focused and be able to work pro-actively alone or work with colleagues to progress projects with business acumen and legal input.

The role is open to applicants either already based in the locations or exceptional candidates may be considered from elsewhere with knowledge of the offshore regulatory environment in respect to the telecoms sector.
