AP Services is looking for four reliable cleaners to join our team, cleaning fixed rubbish bins located on high streets and in public areas.
Main duties:
- Cleaning bins internally and externally
- Removing rubbish, dirt and loose debris
- Applying cleaning and deodorising products
- Scrubbing, wiping and disinfecting bin surfaces
- Using sprayers, wet vacuums and cleaning equipment after training
- Removing old stickers and adhesive residue where required
- Taking before-and-after photographs
- Reporting damaged lids, hinges, locks or fixings
- Keeping equipment, vehicles and working areas clean
- Working safely around pedestrians and members of the public
- Wearing the supplied uniform and PPE
What we are looking for:
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work eight-hour outdoor shifts
- Comfortable carrying equipment and completing physical cleaning work
- Able to work effectively as part of a two-person team
- Professional and polite when working in public areas
- Previous cleaning, grounds-maintenance or outdoor-work experience is helpful but not essential
- A driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential for every position
Full training, cleaning equipment, uniform and PPE will be provided. This is initially a temporary ongoing contract. However, it may lead to a permanent full-time position for reliable staff who demonstrate a good standard of work and attendance.
