A&P Fencing is a family-run business with 35 years of manufacturing and distributing high-quality fence panels, as well as other garden and landscaping goods. Based in the West Midlands, we serve trade customers and the public, taking pride in our British manufacturing and in-house distribution. Our success is built on quality products and exceptional customer service.

We are seeking an E-commerce Content Manager to elevate our online presence and drive revenue growth. This hybrid role combines remote working with office-based collaboration, offering 4 days working from home and 1 day in our Birmingham or Lichfield office. The main part of this job is simple: make our website's products more appealing to buy.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Creating and improving product descriptions
  • Creating and improving product imagery
  • Enhancing category pages
  • Adding new product lines
  • Updating and improving website copy

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Building our online reputation through review generation
  • Working with our freelance developer to implement new features
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance user experience and conversion rates

As a small, family-run business, one of our biggest weaknesses has been our transition into the digital age. The ideal candidate will therefore be someone with the skills and experience to hit the ground running from day one; in-depth training in the role is not something we can provide, though we will gladly bring you up to speed on all the relevant things you need to know about our business, products, and service. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Proven experience improving an e-commerce business
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Photoshop or other image editing tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to commute to Birmingham and Lichfield areas
