Head of Business Development , Legal - London

A leading international law firm and professional services business is seeking to hire a Head of Business Development for Europe to join its London office. This senior role is pivotal in driving the firm's commercial strategy across European offices. The successful candidate will work closely with partners, directors, and colleagues to lead a regional team of BD professionals, fostering collaboration and enhancing performance across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement an integrated business development strategy for Europe, aligned with firm-wide goals and global directives.
2. Develop effective business development plans and adopt a data-led approach to business growth.
3. Act as a trusted advisor to partners and directors across Europe.
4. Lead major client pitches, proposals, legal directory, and panel submissions.
5. Manage, lead, and mentor a regional team; monitor and evaluate the impact of business development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UK and wider European legal markets, with proven success in developing and executing BD strategies that increase revenue. Strong leadership skills, including managing multi-jurisdictional teams, are essential.
