SEND 2:1 KS1 Tutor urgently needed - Chatteris, PE16. Ackerman Pierce Education works closely with County Councils to provide 1:1 and 2:1 tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The learner we are looking to support has SEND and so we are seeking a SEND Tutor / Teacher to deliver 15 hours per week of Academic and Therapeutic activities during the school Term Time Only at one of our Centres in Chatteris. The learner has speech and language delay and Social Communication Difficulties. The successful candidate will be supported by another tutor on a 2:1 basis.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Available during school hours and available for 15 hours across the week (more hours available)
- Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects
- Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
- Exceptional behaviour management strategies
- Prepared to work face to face within the community
This will be continuous and until the student is placed within a suitable school, when we will then set you up ready for your next student.
Requirements:
- Background teaching and supporting SEND learners.
- Experience working with SEMH and associated complex needs.
- To be considered as a Tutor, you must have experience working with a variety of SEND, and have a background in teaching or private tutoring.

- Each contract averages a set pay of 15 hours per week/ 3 hours per day. This is still paid even if the child is absent due to sickness.
- All hours are during school times (8:30-3:30 Monday – Friday) and term time only. This allows you to have flexibility around how you would like to work.
