Real Life Options provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We provide individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The service comprises 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs, and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.
About The Role
You will be supporting individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible.
Responsibilities
- Follow daily planners
- Assist with financial expenditure
- Provide domestic support and administer medication
- Offer personal care as needed
- Plan and prepare meals
- Maintain important relationships
- Support to find new friendships
- Encourage participation in community activities to enhance social inclusion
- Seek new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support, such as volunteering roles or further education access
Shift Patterns
7am to 10pm, 10pm – 7am (Waking Nights). Work on a rota, covering weekends, evenings, bank holidays, with planned time off. Flexibility to cover any of these shift patterns over the 7‑day weekly period is essential.
Qualifications
- Enhanced DBS required
- Registered as a Support Worker with the appropriate professional body (if applicable)
- Flexible to cover all shift patterns and rota work including weekends, evenings and bank holidays
