Overview
Real Life Options is looking for an experienced Service Lead to manage a full‑time support service in Ilkeston, DE7 8XW. The role is permanent and offers an annual salary of £26,294 plus a range of benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide on‑call duties on a rota basis.
- Attend team meetings and service user reviews.
- Ensure medication procedures are in place and service users are supported appropriately.
- Manage the day‑to‑day running of the support service.
- Assess service users and develop Person‑Centred Plans, facilitating participation of all workers in implementation.
- Deliver individualised support to people living in shared supported‑living properties and tenancies.
- Support residents with mental health and complex behaviour.
Qualifications
- Supervisory experience and a role‑model attitude for staff teams.
- Experience working with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Resilience, an open mind and a non‑judgemental approach.
- Track record of working with people with learning disabilities in supported‑living and enabled environments.
- Commitment to community care principles.
- Understanding of development needs of adults with learning disability (social, personal, physical, occupational and leisure).
- Understanding of the needs of people with disabilities, including learning disabilities, multiple disabilities and complex needs.
