What the day will look like

The main responsibility of the role is to lead on all Broking activities for Aon UK Clients in the Healthcare market. In this role the Broker will add value to our clients through strong negotiation on terms, proposition and pricing and making recommendations that align to our client requirements. A key requirement of the role will be promoting Aon’s Broking Proposition to existing and prospect Aon Health clients, understanding client requirements, providing relevant market insight and delivering data driven analytics in advance of and throughout the entire market review process. Through building and maintaining strong relationships with key carrier stakeholders the Broker will develop their understanding of market propositions and how they can add value to our clients. This will further support on negotiations and delivering results in line with client expectations.

  • Negotiate, recommend and placement for Private Medical Insurance & Dental market reviews
  • Work alongside the Healthcare Consulting teams in the delivery of Aon’s Broking proposition
  • Ensure all market review reports are completed within the timescale allocated and all recommendations in line with the clients’ objectives
  • Lead or support in any ad hoc projects that arise
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key carrier stakeholders to support delivery of Broking outcomes and proposition development.
  • Use and development of analytics to support clients making better decisions.
  • Stay up to date with employee benefit trends in the industry, monitor market developments and use this knowledge to deliver further client value

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Your skills and experience will ideally include:

  • Healthcare market experience (specifically in corporate/claims rated PMI & Trust area), preferably with strong technical PMI knowledge and a Healthcare qualification
  • Strong Broking skills: Recognising client needs and clearly articulates the problem to be solved; recognises challenges and barriers to solving them and assembles internal resources to achieve the desired client outcome
  • Client facing experience with the ability to communicate effectively at a senior level
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise urgent requests
  • Build strong multi-layer relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Working well as part of a client delivery team to deliver value to clients
