Aon Reinsurance Solutions is looking for a senior cyber catastrophe analyst to join its Cyber Analytics team. This exciting role will allow the selected individual to work with key figures in the cyber insurance market, and articulate modelling output and portfolio insights to allow our clients to make the most informed insurance and reinsurance decisions. The cyber reinsurance market has been growing rapidly in recent years and this is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and expanding area.
The successful candidate will work within the cyber analytics team in London and will be responsible for building client relationships, delivering catastrophe modelling analytics, and expanding our suite of bespoke modelling and data solutions. Aon's analytics team is the best regarded of its kind. The team sits within Aon and provides clients with expert advice on a range of topics from natural and man-made catastrophes, including terrorism and cyber, to capital management and portfolio optimisation solutions.
About the Role
Offering a unique role within a collaborative team environment, your day could look like:
- Leverage cyber risk and reinsurance models to generate and articulate modelling output and portfolio insights for clients
- Work closely with brokers and actuaries to support client relationships via creating and delivering presentations, maintaining touchpoints and understanding reinsurance needs
- Support team efforts to develop, automate and maintain our global data sets and suite of analytics offerings, including opportunity to take on ownership
- Understand and stress test various cyber vendor models and contribute to the development of an Aon view of the current modelling landscape
- Work closely with global team members including the US to maintain a coordinated strategy and global best practices
- Keep abreast of developments within the cyber (re)insurance market and the cyber risk landscape
As a Senior Cyber Catastrophe Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Prior experience with end-to-end catastrophe modelling
- Experience with cyber catastrophe models (CyberCube, Moody’s RMS, Guidewire) is advantageous but not essential
- Passion for delivering value to clients
- Proven attention to detail and problem-solving skills, including ability to apply existing knowledge to novel challenges
- Ability to work effectively as part of a highly dynamic and collaborative team
- Ability to handle significant workflow and be reactive to clients’ needs and priorities
- Familiarity with a coding language is highly beneficial (e.g. VBA, Python, SQL, R)
