Do you have Commercial/Corporate short-term insurance experience? Experienced in dealing with Multinational/Global clients? We are hiring! Aon South Africa is recruiting a highly skilled Client Service Advisor in our AGCN department based on a hybrid basis, from our Head office in Sandton.

The role of the Client Service Advisor (AGCN) is to work closely with Client Manager/ Business Unit Head or Strategic Account Manager to retain and service existing and prospective clients. What the day will look like:

  • Responsible for being the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Contributes to and provides input into the entire client lifecycle, including renewals, endorsements and/or cancellations.
  • Works with Client Manager/ Business Unit Head or Strategic Account Manager to ensure high quality, efficient and compliant delivery of all client‑servicing administrative/transactional activities.
  • Provides clients with renewal notices and reminders.
  • Prepares renewal instruction forms, quotes, closing instructions and proposal forms for clients and/or insurers.
  • Communicates with insurers both locally and internally.
  • Claims - process, follow up and update client on the status of the claim.
  • Contribute to client retention and renewal targets.
  • Manages and facilitates the cancellation process and creates the necessary documentation.
  • Fulfills the primary point of contact for clients by providing services and resolving queries.
  • Assists in the day to day running of clients’ risk and insurance programs, producing and checking documentation where required.
  • Liaises with the outsource supplier to pass on appropriate work and ensure standards are met (where an outsource partner exists).
  • Contributes to all client planning meetings and attends and contributes to internal and external client meetings.
  • Responsible for credit control.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferable.
  • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
  • Must be registered as a licentiate with the IISA.

Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of policy wordings.
  • Advanced knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets will be advantageous.
  • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals will be advantageous.
  • Sophisticated digital literacy in MS Word and Excel.
  • General knowledge of cross border insurance / Strong grounding across multiple lines; Property, BI, Marine, Motor Fleets, Liability (Incl. D&O / PI).
  • Regulatory Awareness across different markets (Africa / Europe).

  • Sophisticated analytical, technical and problem‑solving skills and abilities.
  • Ability to communicate optimally, and confidently both verbally and written.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in and with teams.

  • Fronting and multinational programme structuring.
  • Stakeholder and relationship management.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure across multiple deadlines.

Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
  • Extensive commercial or corporate insurance experience.
  • Multinational / global client experience is an added advantage.
