Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is recruiting for a Manager to join our Strategy Consulting team. STG is Aon’s global consulting and technology business focused on, but not limited to, serving clients across the (re)insurance industry. The team provides Strategy Consulting and Advisory services to many of the most prestigious (re)insurance companies across the globe. We have privileged access to Aon’s proprietary data and the knowledge of its global network of insurance industry experts to derive unique and compelling insights into the sources of competitive advantage in our industry. Established in 2022, our STG consulting team has grown year on year. The Strategy Consulting team is primarily based in our offices in London, New York, Chicago, Singapore, Sydney, and Rotterdam. The role is based in London. We are enthusiastic adopters of hybrid working and flexible on day-to-day location. We are seeking a team member who excels in providing valuable insights and high-quality work for clients, fosters lasting relationships within the industry, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset to contribute to the team's growth.
What the day will look like:
- Work as part of a team that delivers high value strategy projects to insurers, reinsurers, and investors in the insurance industry on wide ranging strategic questions.
- Structure a client project / problem into phases and questions, hypothesis testing, story building and deliverable production.
- Strong organisational skills including project management.
- Oversee the execution of one or more projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet established deadlines.
- Lead problem solving on projects, from understanding client problems through to the development of high impact recommendations.
- Lead the identification and communication of recommendations to clients.
- Lead by strong example, mentoring, coaching, and potentially line managing Associates and Senior Associates.
- Coach team members on projects to deliver high impact recommendations to clients' key problems.
- Facilitate discussions highlighting the value STG can offer to clients, engage in project topics of interest, cultivate client relationships to build credibility and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate across STG and Aon to proactively align the appropriate people and solutions with client needs.
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and development of go-to-market propositions.
- Advocate for business discipline and operational excellence while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Proven experience ideally within Strategy Consulting or Consulting (insurance experience required), or from an Insurance Audit background (with qualification).
- Candidates will typically have 5+ years’ experience.
- Strong track record of developing and testing hypotheses, problem-solving and thinking strategically to solve complex client problems.
- Strong track record of delivering impactful work for clients, demonstrating an understanding of clients' requirements.
- Ability to prioritise, plan and execute to strict deadlines.
- Team management and development experience.
- Ability to develop, maintain and influence a network of client stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in managing extensive data sets, developing sophisticated models, and delivering high-quality outputs using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven team player with the ability to leverage the knowledge of other team members.
- Commitment to team and personal development.
- Proactively contributes to the development of growing Strategy Consulting team.
