This team is focused on developing and designing innovative solutions to solving market access challenges and works at the intersection of life sciences, insurance innovation, and healthcare systems. This is an opportunity to mentor and manage entry-level strategy advisors whilst working with senior partners in a global organisation. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office.

What the day will look like
As a senior-level strategic consultant, you will lead the delivery of complex strategic advisory projects for pharmaceutical and biotech. You will lead all aspects of engagements focused on overcoming market entry barriers through insurance-led solutions, private payer strategies, and innovative contracting models. You will also guide the overall strategic direction and keep executive collaborators aligned. You will manage and develop entry-level strategy advisors, providing direction, mentoring and quality oversight across project workstreams.
- Client Advisory & Strategy
Lead the development of private health insurance strategies for specific therapies, providing clear strategic direction. Oversee and synthesise market landscape assessments and analyse payer dynamics across global and local markets to generate differentiated, board-ready insights and recommendations. Develop and refine custom insurance solutions (e.g., drug warranties, risk transfer mechanisms) to mitigate financial volatility and support scalable, balanced market access models.
- Project Delivery
Own and steer multiple workstreams within multi-disciplinary project teams (consultants, actuaries, insurance specialists), ensuring strategic coherence and high-quality outputs. Lead and manage teams of junior strategy consultants, including task allocation, day‑to‑day mentorship, and performance feedback to build capability and ensure delivery excellence. Review and shape client‑ready deliverables including reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations, ensuring they are insight‑led, commercially robust, and tailored to senior stakeholders. Drive project governance, proactively managing scope, risks, and timelines to consistently meet or exceed client expectations and Aon quality standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a strategic partner to pharmaceutical market access teams and health insurers, challenging thinking, gathering insights, and stress‑testing and validating strategies alongside senior leaders. Facilitate and lead workshops and training sessions on private payer engagement, positioning Aon as a trusted advisor and inspiring leader in the life sciences and insurance ecosystem.
- Business Development
Lead proposals and thought leadership content, developing the narrative and value proposition for senior client audiences. Drive Aon’s growth in life sciences consulting through targeted research, client relationship development, and identification of new advisory opportunities across priority markets.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 6 + years in consulting, ideally with exposure to healthcare, life sciences, pharma or insurance.
- Demonstrated experience managing junior consultants and leading small project teams or workstreams.
- Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outputs under deadlines.
