What the day will look like
- You will partner closely with HR and business stakeholders, providing clear, practical advice across a wide range of UK employment law matters.
- Your work will span the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and contracts through to complex employee relations issues, restructures and exits.
- You will advise on areas including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance matters, restrictive covenants and Employment Tribunal claims, working with external counsel where needed.
- You will also support policy development, deliver training, and help embed best practice across the business.
- Alongside your UK focus, you may also gain exposure to wider EMEA matters, working as part of a well‑connected global legal function.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (or equivalent) with at least 4 years’ PQE in employment law, gained in private practice or in‑house.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law with experience advising on complex employee relations matters.
- Experience supporting redundancy programmes, TUPE and organisational change.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
- Experience of the insurance, reinsurance, retirement or investment sectors is helpful but not essential.
