As a Client Director at Aon Global, you’ll be at the centre of strategic relationships, helping leading organisations navigate complex challenges while collaborating with experts across our global network. This is your opportunity to shape outcomes on an international scale, in a hybrid role that gives you the flexibility to work both virtually and from our flagship London or Chelmsford offices.
Aon Global is an Aon Commercial Risk business based in London and Chelmsford, which specialises in servicing clients across multiple industry sectors and geographies, all with global risk and insurance needs.
What the day will look like
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business, industry, and risks in order to provide tailored Aon solutions.
- Take full accountability for growing new and existing business through proactive relationship management and by leading the client prospecting process.
- Co-ordinate and collaborate with wider internal specialists, such as class specialists and risk consultants, to deliver comprehensive solutions and drive client value.
- Effectively lead client-facing teams and connect them to the wider Aon offering, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Act as a role model by consistently demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and adherence to Aon’s high ethical standards.
- Ensure strong working relationships within client service teams to drive innovative solutions and sustained client satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and share knowledge with client service teams, supporting their continuous development and operational excellence.
- Lead the development of new propositions and ensure the best practice delivery of services to clients and prospects.
- Continually enhance your knowledge of Aon’s products, services, and overall United strategy through active learning and cross-functional teamwork, increasing your Aon IQ.
- Maintain and improve client satisfaction and retention, clearly articulating the value delivered by Aon and effectively supporting remuneration negotiations.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on programme optimisation, emerging trends, market reviews, and claims management.
- Ensure compliance by working within the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and policies, participating in risk management, and completing all mandatory training.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain significant client relationships, with a track record in business development and revenue growth.
- Strong project management skills with experience implementing strategic plans and delivering against project scope.
- Excellent interpretive, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferably ACII qualified, with experience servicing multinational client insurance programmes.
- Deep commercial understanding of both business operations and the insurance market.
- Robust technical knowledge across major insurance classes, with proven ability to leverage this expertise for clients.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience leading teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Proven ability to share knowledge, mentor others, and contribute to ongoing professional development within your team.
