Aon is currently recruiting a Facultative Reinsurance Broker to join our Canadian team in London. This role sits within our UK-based Lloyd's reinsurance platform, working as part of our Canadian desk, supporting and servicing Canadian clients and risks. We are specifically looking for a broker with experience operating within the Lloyd's and London Market, who can apply this expertise to the placement of Canadian facultative business.
About the Role:
- Working with colleagues and clients on a variety of facultative reinsurance placements.
- Supporting the delivery of Canadian client portfolios, ensuring high-quality service and market execution from London.
- Providing advice to clients and colleagues on placement build, available coverage and capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage improvements and market progress.
- Working within the Lloyd's and wider London Market to place Canadian risks effectively.
- Supporting the creation and delivery of market presentations and broking strategy.
- Identifying appropriate channels for risk placement based on clients’ market security guidelines and other requirements, exerting influence on the market to secure the best outcomes.
- Negotiating terms and conditions of placement with the market.
- Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and compliance with all relevant policies.
About you:
- Experience operating as a facultative broker within the Lloyd's and/or London Market is essential.
- Strong background in reinsurance broking, with a focus on facultative business.
- Experience working with or exposure to Canadian clients, markets, or risks is highly desirable.
- Proven technical competence of client needs and the reinsurance market.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong industry network and market knowledge.
- Commercially minded with strong sales and negotiation capability.
- Proven data analysis abilities.
