We're Hiring, Are you ready for a new challenge? Aon is currently recruiting a Mining Broker to join the Mining Industry Property team, which forms part of the wider Property practice within our Global Broking Centre.
In this role you will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and negotiation of business specific to the Mining industry within the Lloyd's and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis. What the day will look like:
- To support the Account Leader in ensuring that the team work as a cohesive unit meeting all service requirements agreed with the Aon offices and Insurers.
- Manage/broke a portfolio of accounts including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team. This includes:
- Executing the placement strategy for each account.
- Working with Senior Broker, provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations.
- Helping to manage the relationship between the insured/network and the GBC. This may involve targeted travel where required, and will require hosting of clients in London.
- Growth to overall running of the file, including the use of electronic placing platforms, and ensuring KPI’s are met, and relevant data captures are completed for each account.
- Actively contribute to the growth of the Portfolio and to the Property go to market strategy. Understand our structured portfolio solutions (SPS’s) and work pro-actively with the Senior Brokers both within Mining team and Regional GBC Property teams you will support.
- With guidance and support, provide technical support and advice to other Aon offices acting as a referral point in relation to Mining Industry specific queries and where necessary lead tenders.
- Working with the regional teams, ensure that AV strategy is maximised across the Mining portfolio.
- Keeping abreast of Mining market movements and changes of appetite.
- Carry out such projects, tasks and other duties as may be specified by the Team Leader or Senior Management of the Division.
