What the day will look like

Reporting into the STG’s Technology Head of System’s Implementation, this role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, translating strategy and customer insights into clear product roadmaps and actionable requirements for engineering, modelling and platform teams. The role spans the full product lifecycle, with key responsibilities including:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned to Aon’s objectives, using market trends, competitive insight and client feedback to shape a clear, prioritised roadmap that balances new features, technical improvements and operational needs.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of client needs through market feedback, data and regular engagement, working closely with Aon service teams (Sales, Support, Consulting, Brokerage) to capture requirements, validate solutions and drive adoption.
  • Roadmap Execution: Lead end‑to‑end delivery of the product roadmap using Agile methodologies, owning the lifecycle from concept to launch to ensure timely, high‑quality releases, effective change management and continuous improvement.
  • Sales support: Support sales activity by presenting and demonstrating the product to prospects and clients, partnering with Sales and Marketing to refine value propositions, shape go‑to‑market plans and develop compelling communication materials.
  • Governance, risk and compliance: Ensure products meet regulatory, security and data privacy requirements, proactively manage product risks, issues and dependencies, and contribute to budgeting, investment cases and benefit tracking for new and existing initiatives.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Product Management experience in software delivery, ideally with cloud hosted solutions and/or in the insurance sector.
  • Understanding of insurance processes and the challenges faced by clients in the (re)insurance industry at present.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and delivery.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams (Business, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or related subject area.
  • Ability to use initiative, with an awareness of when to consult with others.
