What the day will look like

  • Understand the prospect’s business and identify their needs, positioning Aon as the logical alternative through strong sector knowledge, benchmarking (including GRIP), and professional articulation of Aon’s risk solutions.
  • Develop tailored revenue proposals using insights from similar clients and the full range of Aon services to ensure profitable, value-adding propositions.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Broking, and international Aon offices to ensure seamless delivery against the agreed proposition.
  • Shape and contribute to client service propositions, taking a leading role where required in customisation, quality control, and presentation materials.
  • Work closely with Claims colleagues to build a strong, differentiated Claims proposition for each new client.
  • Build strong internal relationships—particularly across Client Management, Client Services, and specialist teams—to select the right experts for each prospect pitch.
  • Ensure full compliance with Aon Business Rules, FCA regulations, and all statutory requirements.

What Makes This Role Different

National clients typically require bespoke insurance programmes and associated risk management and risk transfer services. Besides being the insurance broker, the National team provides clients with a claims service and advice on risk management across most industries, with specialisms in real estate, public sector, food and drink and retail and wholesale. Typically, clients will be either a national or a multinational company, with a presence in no more than 10 overseas territories; the CEO and CFO’s will be looking for a local relationship with their broker, who can provide a tailored approach.
