We’re hiring! Aon are currently recruiting a Risk & Compliance Business Partner to join our team in London / Hybrid working. The Risk & Compliance Business Partner will be primarily responsible for supporting the senior members of the Risk & Compliance Business Partner Team (e.g. Director, and Senior Partner) in providing advice, oversight and challenge on issues and risks, including involvement in the development of new products, business and/or operating models and functional processes and facilitate periodic risk assessments undertaken by Solution Lines/Business Areas, in line with the wider Enterprise Risk Management framework.

About the Role
Your impact as a Risk & Compliance Business Partner:
- Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for any risk, compliance or governance queries.
- Support the senior members of the Solution Lines/Business Areas e.g. GBC, CRUK in providing advice, oversight and challenge on issues and risks, including involvement in the development of new products, business and/or operating models and functional processes.
- Facilitate periodic risk assessments undertaken by Solution Lines/Business Areas, in line with the wider Enterprise Risk Management framework.
- Liaise with other risk and compliance areas and act as the ‘facilitator’ between these and the business to ensure the business has access to the right second line resource.
- Build enduring relationships with key business stakeholders and help promote a risk & compliance aware culture.
- Build awareness, through the wider Risk & Compliance team, of key regulatory changes and support the impacted areas through design and implementation.
- Support and contribute to the Business Partner Team strategy and wider Risk & Compliance initiatives.
- Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
About you
Your knowledge and expertise:
- General awareness of the international sanctions landscape.
- General awareness of international (re)insurance licensing requirements or overseas regulation criteria.
- Dynamic and proactive personality, bringing energy and enthusiasm to learn and enjoy the many aspects of the role – primarily as a business partner to the 1st line.
- Confidence and credibility to work collaboratively with the organisation’s most senior management and directors.
- Able to demonstrate commercial awareness, general business acumen, and basic strategic planning.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and include key stakeholders, take positive action on an assigned task/topic/objective/deliverable in an effective diplomatic fashion being mindful of the needs of the R&CBP team – led by the Director.
- Early to mid-career experience working with an international re/insurance intermediary, its business and processes; or recent experience working in ‘digitalisation change’ projects e.g. use of common AI applications to improve the distribution of financial services / insurance products.
