Responsibilities
Broker – US Casualty Construction
London, Hybrid Working
We are hiring for a US Casualty Construction Broker. This role will involve assisting the marketing, negotiation and placement of US Casualty Construction business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the Marketing Strategy.
What the day will look like:
- Assist in providing advice to clients and network colleagues on placement design, available capacity, likely pricing, and coverage.
- Working with colleagues and clients on sophisticated, large capacity placements.
- Assist in defining marketing strategy.
- Assist in Lead quote broking / Follow market broking within Lloyd’s and European market.
- Assist in presenting quoted terms to client / network.
- Firm Order broking (PPL / wet stamps / email).
- Review draft / final MRC for binding.
- Sending Cover confirmation to Client / Network.
- Co-ordination and monitoring of premium payments to the markets.
- Assist in hosting Client meetings with Underwriters.
- Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Experience in broking Construction Liability business, either in the US, UK or International marketplace.
- Technical Insurance knowledge across Casualty / Construction.
- Ability to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service.
- Experience of placement of MRC contracts on the PPL platform.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
