Aon invites ambitious rising college seniors to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program within our Tax Insurance and Representations & Warranties (R&W) Insurance team, part of Aon’s M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) group. Immerse yourself in a unique, deal-focused environment and sample a career at the intersection of tax, law, corporate finance, and insurance!

Aon is in the business of better decisions. At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What is Transaction Solutions at Aon? Businesses and communities face a constantly evolving range of interconnected risks, and transactional insurance helps solve those problems. Transactional Insurance is composed of Aon’s Tax Insurance and R&W Insurance team, which helps corporate and private equity clients allocate and mitigate specific transactional risks so deals can close with greater certainty and capital can be deployed more efficiently.

More specifically, Tax Insurance covers identified tax risks (e.g., the tax treatment of a transaction or structure) to provide balance sheet protection and deal certainty to taxpayers. It is commonly used in M&A transactions, tax credit investments, and corporate planning. Similarly, R&W insurance covers financial losses arising from breaches of representations and warranties in M&A transactions. This helps buyers and sellers bridge negotiation gaps, reduce or replace escrow, and streamline post-closing recourse.

Our team is primarily staffed by former practicing tax lawyers and transactional professionals who translate complex tax and legal issues into tailored insurance solutions for our clients.

Interns will gain valuable experience assisting the AMATS team on assigned accounts across various industries. You'll collaborate with expert colleagues to assess and mitigate risks across diverse industries while you engage in innovative solutions to deliver tailored risk management strategies, fostering profit, growth, and continuity for our clients. By the end of the internship, you will leave the summer with a practical understanding of how tax, law, finance, and insurance intersect in M&A and how specialized risk transfer solutions are structured and placed.

This is a 10-week paid program across various U.S. offices with access to leaders through weekly learning sessions and a chance to interact with colleagues globally. You will engage in challenging client projects with the benefit of continuous formal and informal feedback and the enjoyment of social outings and community service activities throughout your internship!

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Interest in tax, law, accounting, corporate finance, or M&A related topics
  • Desire to work on a team with the capability for independent work
  • Driven by results and accomplishing tasks
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Alignment with values of integrity, client commitment and community dedication
