The Innovation Analyst supports the design, assessment, and delivery of innovative Employee Experience (EX) concepts and service capabilities. This role provides the analysis, research, and operational support required to identify emerging trends, run pilots, and generate insights that shape Aon’s EX product roadmap and best practices. Working closely with the Innovation Architect, Innovation Leader, product teams, and client delivery teams, the Innovation Analyst helps ensure that new ideas are grounded in robust data, aligned with client needs (single-country and multi-country), and can be scaled effectively across Aon’s Employee Experience portfolio. This is a hybrid position to work both virtually and from our London Offices.
What the day will look like
- Market, Client & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research on EX and HR market trends, client needs, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and gaps. Gather and synthesize insights from client feedback, NPS, surveys, and win/loss analysis to inform the innovation pipeline. Prepare concise insight packs, dashboards, and summaries for the Head of Business Excellence, Innovation Leader, and senior stakeholders.
- Support for Concept Development & Design: Work with the Innovation Architect and other stakeholders to document new service concepts, use cases, and high-level designs. Help structure problem statements, customer journeys, and requirements based on research and stakeholder input. Contribute to the preparation of business cases and value propositions through data analysis, benchmarking, and sizing potential impact.
- Pilot & Proof-of-Concept Support: Coordinate day-to-day execution of pilots and PoCs, including meeting scheduling, documentation, action tracking, and stakeholder communication. Build and maintain trackers and simple dashboards for monitoring pilot performance and KPIs. Collect qualitative and quantitative feedback from clients and internal teams; analyze results to understand what is working and what needs refinement. Support preparation of recommendations on whether and how to scale, modify, or discontinue pilot initiatives.
- Product Roadmap & Governance Support: Provide analytical input to prioritization discussions for the EX product roadmap. Maintain an up-to-date view of the innovation portfolio, including status, timelines, key milestones, and dependencies. Help prepare materials for governance forums, steering committees, and leadership updates.
- Best Practice & Knowledge Management: Document lessons learned, case studies, and success stories from innovation initiatives for use by client delivery teams. Support the development and maintenance of central repositories for innovation assets (e.g., templates, toolkits, frameworks, playbooks). Contribute to training materials, internal communications, and enablement sessions to embed new capabilities into BAU.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Essential:
- Experience in a research, analyst, consulting, product, or operations role, ideally in Employee Experience, HR, or related domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work with data (quantitative and qualitative) to derive clear insights.
- Solid desk research skills, including the ability to scan multiple sources and synthesize findings into concise, actionable insights.
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent) skills; able to build clear, compelling presentations and simple dashboards.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and clarity.
Desirable:
- Exposure to innovation methods (e.g., design thinking, agile, lean experimentation) or a strong interest in developing in this area.
- Familiarity with HR technology, analytics tools, or survey/engagement platforms.
- Experience supporting global or multi-country projects, with sensitivity to local client needs and regulatory environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Economics, HR, Psychology, Data/Analytics, or related field.
- Additional training or certification in analytics, product management, or innovation methodologies is an advantage.
