What the day will look like:
As a Cyber Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for advising clients on handling cybersecurity risks and enhancing their cybersecurity maturity, whilst also understanding the importance of, and link to, cyber insurance. The role involves supporting quantification projects, risk assessments, and developing cybersecurity strategies across a diverse range of clients and industry verticals. Alongside this, there will be an expectation to maintain strong client relationships and stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats. The role combines technical expertise, critical thinking, and commercial awareness, perfect for a candidate who wants to advance their career in cyber consulting.
As a Cyber Risk Consultant, you will:
- Support cybersecurity risk assessments, strategy development, and compliance projects.
- Assist in delivering projects including Financial Impact Modelling, Response Readiness, and Risk Assessment.
- Support project excellence and produce high-quality client deliverables.
- Advise clients on cybersecurity maturity and its link to cyber insurance.
- Nurture strong client relationships through proactive and insightful consulting.
- Assist with business development activities, incl. sales pipeline analysis, proposal writing, and client presentations.
- Continue to improve the solutions and professional practice of the team.
- Work on a portfolio of client engagements across the UK and EMEA.
- Train other team members through sharing of insight and knowledge.
- Understand and anticipate client needs based on a strong understanding of industry/sector risks.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Technical, Risk and Insurance professional certifications (e.g., ComptTIA, CISSP, IRM, ACII, or equivalent) not crucial, but preferred.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
- Broad cybersecurity knowledge, with curiosity about areas such as Cybersecurity Risk Assessment and Quantification, Cybersecurity Capability and ISMS Maturity, and Cyber Response Readiness.
- Cyber risk experience across multiple industry verticals, including but not limited to: retail, manufacturing, technology, energy and financial services.
- Strong project management and social skills, including experience of multi-project management and championing relationships across the client base.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including client presentation skills and report writing.
