Overview

Client Service Advisor | Corporate Insurance

We are hiring!

Are you an experienced Client Service Advisor looking for an exciting and challenging role? Would you like to work with a varied portfolio of clients based around the UK?

Aon is recruiting for a Client Service Advisor to support the Edinburgh Corporate Insurance team.

The successful candidate will work alongside our team of Client Managers across an established and varied portfolio of large to mid-market corporate clients throughout the UK. This role will offer opportunities to nurture and grow existing client relationships while supporting the team in successfully winning new clients.

This is a hybrid role based in our Edinburgh office, with flexibility to work from any Aon office in Scotland and a weekly visit to the Edinburgh office required.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. We are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

The role is within our large mid-market commercial risk team and provides risk solutions to businesses across many sectors in the UK. Clients are typically national or multinational, seeking a tailored relationship with their broker.

Clients typically require bespoke insurance programmes and related risk management and risk transfer services. As a Client Service Advisor you will handle the day-to-day service provided to clients, ensuring the highest level of service in line with the agreed client service tools, while supporting them with technical advice on their cover.

You will liaise with the client management team to understand the client’s business and insurance requirements, contribute to the Service Plan, and have the opportunity to attend client meetings and visits (e.g., pre-renewal and renewal meetings, or insurer surveys).

Identify potential improvements in client risk and insurance programme design and make recommendations to the Client Manager; implement changes for clients if required.

Negotiate renewal terms, mid-term adjustments and cover extensions. Undertake negotiations with insurers as agreed and market terms with Aon Facilities as required to support the broking function toward an optimal client solution.

Prepare comprehensive marketing presentations and, with the Broking Manager, prepare cover comparisons as needed.

Establish and develop effective working relationships with insurers and differentiate the cover, service and industry knowledge that a specific insurer can deliver to the client.

Provide ongoing communication with the client following queries or alterations and keep the Client Manager informed of developments.

Support in identifying client needs and shaping Aon solutions using knowledge of products/services from the wider Aon community, and make recommendations to the Client Manager.

Represent Aon professionally, align with corporate objectives, be supportive and helpful to colleagues, and continually improve personal knowledge through appropriate training and implementation.

Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and comply with Aon UK Limited policies, including mandatory training and participation in risk management activities that may affect the business or reputation of the company.

This is a great opportunity to build a career in a team with a track record of developing talent. You will be supported by an experienced leadership team and have access to a wide range of innovative solutions for clients.
