Aon’s Global Broking Centre is recruiting a Client Manager/Broker to join our Marine Hull team based in London. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work virtually and from our London office.
What the day will look like – Key responsibilities
- Client/network engagement: Completion of initial engagement and cover confirmation to Clients and/or Networks. Relationship development/management (clients and/or network). Understanding the Client’s business and insurance requirements and providing technical advice to Clients/Networks. Setting insurance program and placement strategy with the client in conjunction with Networks. Prepare/tailor MRC’s/MRCe’s to ensure that Client’s insurance needs are met with optimum coverage. Analysing data and preparing submissions/presentations to Markets/Clients and/or Networks. Present terms to Clients and/or Networks, including both offensive and defensive RFP responses.
- Market Broking: Assist in preparing marketing strategies. Face‑to‑face Lloyds Broking, and E‑trading. Negotiate terms, obtain quotations and place new and renewal business within the London/International markets, including facilities. Negotiate Mid Term changes to coverage with markets. Establish and develop effective working relationships with Insurers.
- General: The use of PPL and other London market / Aon proprietary systems. File maintenance and management including marketing sheets. ECM/critical document/KPI management. Providing checklists/instructions/calculations to Client Service Delivery and Processing Teams. Comply with regulatory and other standards as directed by line management, and responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
The Team
The London GBC Marine Hull team comprises 14 Client Managers and Brokers with various levels of experience and expertise. The team serves a wide portfolio of clients from North America, South America, Asia‑Pacific, Europe and the Nordics, collaborating with our Retail networks in key Global hubs.
