Claims Specialist- Natural Resources
Are you an experienced Natural Resources Claims professional, ideally with knowledge of London Market claims processes and procedures?
Are you excited to join a claims team that handles Natural Resources claims on behalf of some of the world\’s most important Energy, Power and Renewables organisations?
If so, we have a fantastic hybrid role with flexibility to work both virtually and from our flagship London or Chelmsford offices.

What the day will look like
In this exciting role, you will be primarily responsible for the management, strategy and process for the notification, agreement, collection, and successful settlement of a portfolio of Natural Resources Claims.
- Notification of claims to all markets.
- Negotiation and liaison with markets, clients, loss adjusters, placement teams, appointed experts, network offices and underwriters.
- Conduct analysis to establish the claims history for a particular client or business portfolio and identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segment.
- Negotiate the payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwriters.
- Coordinate discussions and meetings to ensure superior level of communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the proposed settlement.
- Engage with line management and the Head of Natural Resources Advocacy in the development of strategy to conclude contentious claims.
- Attend meetings with international clients and brokers in London.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Experience Dealing with claims from First Notification of Loss to resolution.
- Knowledge of Natural Resources Claims with the confidence to coordinate meetings with our networks, clients, underwriters and experts.
- Experience of the CLASS and ECF Processing system (preferable)
- Proficient in word and excel
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- Can be from either a Broker or Insurer background.
