As a Senior Investment Consultant and Team Leader, you will not only own key client relationships and deliver advice to asset owners (including DB pension schemes, endowments, charities, and other institutional clients), but also play a pivotal role in leading and managing a regional client service team. Given the breadth of capability at Aon, you will be supported by a team of dedicated client-facing colleagues as well as expertise from our many specialist teams such as risk & modelling, investment manager research, asset allocation, and more.
Your Day-to-day Focus Will Include:
- Establishing relationships with clients to understand and solve the challenges they face.
- Driving business results through efficient delivery of client service and connecting and working with colleagues across Aon’s specialist teams.
- Finding opportunities to innovate and drive efficiency.
- Developing junior colleagues into future consultants.
- Promoting an inclusive culture across Aon.
In Your Capacity As Team Leader, You Will Also:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the client service team, empowering and motivating colleagues through regular meetings and development opportunities.
- Foster an inclusive environment where all colleagues feel valued and engaged.
- Support colleagues to bring the best ideas to clients, ensuring the team is aware of the latest ideas and solutions and actively considers their appropriateness for clients.
- Oversee resource management, ensuring clients are sufficiently resourced and collaborating across offices to lead surplus or deficit of resource efficiently.
- Oversee the team’s financial management, including client billing, profitability, and compensation cycles.
This dual focus ensures you will have the opportunity to develop and test your leadership skills, influence the success and direction of the Birmingham team, and work closely with senior business managers to implement and drive positive change.
