A senior management team role requiring the job holder to be passionate about insurance‑related client relationships, to ensure that the Company’s strategy, plans, and budgets are achieved, and client service excellence is delivered to clients.

What The Day Will Look Like As Part of the AIM Senior Management Team

  • Apply strategic and operational planning agreed by the Company to their own servicing team.
  • Participate in determining the Company objectives in line with overall Aon values and objectives.
  • Understand the Company’s budget and contribute to meeting the overall budget in line with Group objectives.
  • Contribute to the setting and monitoring of salary, incentives and benefits of any line reports.
  • Ensure consistency of approach to quality and to the rendering of services to Company clients whilst achieving or exceeding budget objectives.
  • Ensure that, by using effective management systems/tools, the Company optimises its operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the promotion of captives and insurance solutions, both to internal and external prospects.
  • Support the Company so that it attracts, develops and retains the necessary resources and skills to achieve business objectives and provide high quality services to clients.
  • Completes or assists in completing any other projects or work as assigned delivering to any set timescales agreed.
  • Consistently maintain the Company’s good standing.
  • Identify training needs, development and mentoring line reports as appropriate, ensuring guidance and coaching is provided as appropriate to achieve succession planning objectives.

As Part Of Client Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for client service excellence, ensuring that it is achieved and maintained and that any specific client service management agreements are managed and delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all client regulatory and legal issues are complied with.
  • Leads, advises, develops and motivates colleagues toward the accomplishment of business and team goals and objectives, and achieves personal objectives.
  • Ensure client KPIs are met, while also growing the Aon relationship and improving client service.
  • Implementing and achieving internal audit controls and legal compliance in respect of all companies.
  • Resolving client queries and issues within given deadlines.
  • Engaging resources where necessary and project managing workflows to meet client deadlines.
  • On‑boarding new companies or cells, designing structures, reviewing contractual agreements, developing procedures and ensuring compliance with Aon internal procedures and Guernsey Laws.
  • Attendance at specific client board meetings and strategy meetings, including the presentation of accounting, investment, insurance, corporate governance and other ad‑hoc matters.
  • Review, quality control and training in respect of Company Records.
  • Preparation of clear and concise minutes and tracking of action points.
  • Identification of risks and development or adherence to procedures and controls to mitigate them.
  • Maintaining and developing knowledge of related matters such as company law, accounting standards, insurance programmes, taxation etc.
  • Review of profitability of allocated clients together with the Executive Board and consider how to create efficiencies or negotiate fee increases where necessary.
  • Attendance and active participation in Senior Management Team meetings.
  • Assist with staff matters including recruitment and supporting performance by providing feedback and evaluations.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • The successful candidate should be a fully qualified insurance practitioner (ACII) or equivalent with previous management experience.
  • Sound technical knowledge, including a good understanding of all aspects of client administration, business processes, financial instruments and markets, insurance products and principles, accounting, local company law and asset management.
  • Have a good technical knowledge of the insurance, reinsurance, the captive industry and its products along with a good technical knowledge of accounting, taxation and legal issues relating to captives and insurance companies.
  • A good understanding of (re)insurance/Captive Insurance/Protected Cell/Incorporated Cell companies would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to actively participate at Board meetings.
  • Management experience is beneficial.
  • Lead and work within a team and be able to develop a team of professionals.
  • Understand the impact of operational/business strategy and operational plans.
