Aon is recruiting a DC Investment Associate Consultant to join their DC Consulting Team. DC has been identified as a key growth area in the UK for Aon’s Wealth Solutions and this is an exciting opportunity to play your part in this rapidly evolving area.
This role is suitable for someone with an investment focus and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our UK offices.
Aon is in the business of better decisions
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.
As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
What The Day Will Look Like
You will be collaborating with colleagues across a variety of clients in relation to the full spectrum of DC consulting services, with client interaction strongly encouraged and supported. You will be expected to support projects working collaboratively with your client teams to drive these forwards (for example, investment strategy reviews, fund selection exercises, review of DC delivery model, AVC reviews, consolidation exercises).
As Part Of This Role, You Will
- Build on your knowledge of all aspects of DC pensions, across trust-based DC arrangements
- Use your technical investment knowledge and experience to proactively support client teams in providing high quality bespoke advice.
- Supporting relationships with clients across a range of asset size
- Manage routine client projects (e.g. investment strategy reviews and asset transitions), with appropriate oversight from more experienced consultant(s).
- Serve as an alternate day-to-day contact on majority of clients.
- Management of client work and timely delivery to more experienced consultant(s).
- Prepare meeting materials and opportunity to participate in meetings.
- Get involved in DC modelling work, if desired, including developing new models to support consulting propositions.
- Contribute to the success of the DC team through helping to drive business performance (e.g. as a member of a specialist team or proposition team)
- Opportunity to build your knowledge of our DC Solutions team, our engagement colleagues and our Health and Risk team in a truly Aon United way
How This Opportunity Is Different
Aon\'s DC Consulting Team is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of strategic consultants, governance experts and DC investment specialists, providing the full DC spectrum of consulting advice and support to both Trustee Boards and Corporates in relation to their DC arrangements.
While you will be predominantly supporting a portfolio of clients to make better decisions in relation to their DC arrangements to improve outcomes for members, this role will also allow you to work alongside experts in their field to help drive the future direction of DC provision. You will have the opportunity to focus on one of our many specialist areas such as Responsible Investing, DC member support, or our DC technical team.
One of our strengths is that we have a particularly diverse team, so you don’t necessarily have to be interested in all areas of DC work—what we’re looking for is someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and able to work as part of a growth area of the business. This role really does give you the opportunity to influence your own future career.
