We’re hiring
Join Aon on our 12-month Investment Consulting placement and become a valued member of our elite team of specialists. Our consultants advise employers and governments on pension schemes and other assets, totaling around $4 trillion, with over 60 years of experience.
Your role as an Investment Consulting Placement student
Join us as an investment consulting graduate in either our Defined Benefit (DB) Client Group or Defined Contribution (DC) Client Group, helping to advise our clients on everything from setting investment strategies and selection of investment managers to corporate transactions and transfers.
What The Day Will Look Like
- You’ll be a key member of our dedicated teams, providing investment consulting services and advice covering markets and strategic considerations, such as managing assets (for both the DB and DC Client Groups) and liabilities (for the DB Client Group only).
- In the DB Client Group, you’ll learn how and why pension scheme liabilities change because of economic assumptions such as inflation and interest rates, and how market movements affect invested assets. In the DC Client Group, you’ll learn about DC pension vehicles, regulatory rules, main asset classes and investment theory relating to a DC pension scheme.
Whether you’re interested in building client relationships, developing analytical skills or leveraging new technologies, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive and inclusive environment designed for you to learn and grow. As an Aon placement student, each day is an opportunity to develop new skills and shape the future of our industry.
- Work closely with diverse mentors and explore a range of niches that play to your strengths.
- Get regular opportunities to network and meet colleagues who can advance your development.
What are we looking for?
- Motivation and ambition to pursue a career in Investment Consulting
- Strong consulting skills with a client-focused outlook
- Passion and curiosity — eagerness to understand what we do and to learn more
- Commercial awareness to provide clear and confident client advice
