Insurance Actuarial Consulting & Reinsurance Analytics Graduate Programme
Join Aon as an actuarial consulting insurance graduate and get the unique opportunity to be part of either our Strategy & Technology Group (STG) or our Reinsurance Analytics team. Below is more information about each team.
Strategy & Technology Group (STG) – Insurance Actuarial Consulting graduate programme
You will be part of a multi-disciplined, collaborative, and friendly actuarial consulting team that supports a wide range of clients across the non-life insurance value chain. Aon’s global client base, coupled with current market dynamics, creates significant growth potential in our consulting opportunities. STG, as Aon’s global consulting and technology business, has access to Aon’s proprietary data, software, and its global network of insurance industry experts, enabling innovative insights for clients. As a STG Actuarial Consulting graduate, you will join a growing team of 45+ actuarial consultants working on a variety of projects and begin your journey toward a professional qualification. The team values outside-the-box, innovative thinking and a self-starter approach from day one, with strong collaboration across projects and graduates working directly with senior colleagues. The team emphasises outstanding technical ability and effective communication to all stakeholders. You will be involved in technical and consulting training workshops to build skills for innovative client solutions and to manage client relationships proactively.
Reinsurance Analytics Graduate Programme
Our Reinsurance Analytics team offers catastrophe management, actuarial, rating agency advisory and risk & capital strategy expertise. Whether working with brokers on risk transfer products or engaging on broader analytic and modelling engagements, our 400+ specialists around the world deliver innovation and thought leadership to clients. As an Actuarial Graduate in Reinsurance Analytics, you will have responsibilities that include both the technical delivery of work and the communication of findings to brokers and clients. Some key responsibilities will include:
- Reinsurance pricing and analysis
- Actuarial model building and testing
- Data preparation and presentation of results and advice to clients and brokers
- Actuarial research and development
Your Development
As an Aon Graduate, you will be enrolled onto our Launch Programme when you join. This development programme is built around 3 core elements:
- Business learning. On-the-job learning and experiences enabling you to develop your knowledge and understanding of your team and solution line.
- Centralised learning. Our UK graduates complete induction, monthly webinars, business skills training and workshops to develop knowledge of Aon, build confidence and network across the business.
- Professional Qualifications. You will be expected to complete study toward the Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). You will receive paid study leave and access to study materials. To find out more about the actuarial qualification please visit the actuaris.org.uk.
Your career beyond your Graduate programme
After completing the programme, you will continue to receive support for technical and business skills development and for actuarial qualifications. You will receive regular performance feedback and work with your line manager toward promotions, evolving from Associate to Consultant and beyond, with increasing project and client management responsibilities.

We have opportunities in the Strategy & Technology Group (STG) and Reinsurance Analytics teams. Review information on each team and select your first-choice preferred team. Where possible, we will consider you for your first-choice, but if unavailable we may consider the other team.
Entry Requirements:
- 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in maths, actuarial science, or other highly numerical degree
- A-grade or above in Maths A-level, Maths Scottish higher or international equivalent
What are we looking for?
- Motivation and ambition to pursue an actuarial career within Reinsurance and the commitment to complete professional qualifications
- Excellent numerical ability. The team welcomes diverse numerate backgrounds
- Passion and curiosity. Interest in how the Reinsurance industry relates to global/macroeconomic trends
- Commercial awareness to support clients and enable revenue growth
- Strong communication skills, especially in presenting complex ideas clearly
- A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
Locations
Both roles will be based in the London office. The first 6 months will be in-office to support learning and progression; after that period, you may work flexibly with 3–4 days in the office or with clients.
