This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually from home and from our First-Class office in the heart of Manchester city centre.
The Client Service Advisor coordinates and manages service for our commercial insurance clients, working with designated teams across Aon and collaborating with Client Managers and Directors to provide excellent service and care.

What the day will look like
Aon Advisory provides risk solutions to businesses across various sectors within the UK. Typically, clients will be either commercial or corporate companies with a premium spend between £10,000 and £250,000. The CEO and CFOs seek a local relationship with their broker, who can provide a tailored approach.
Advisory clients usually require bespoke insurance programmes and related risk management and transfer services. Besides broking, the team offers claims services and advice on risk management across industries such as real estate, food and drink, fuel distribution, retail, and manufacturing.
The successful candidate will work alongside Client Managers to ensure the highest level of service to each client. Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with Client Managers to understand client needs, contributing to Service Plans, reports, presentations, and client documents, including client visits and communicating settlement terms, ensuring premiums are debited and allocated correctly, and assisting with credit control.
- Identifying potential improvements in client risk and insurance programmes, making recommendations, and implementing changes as needed.
- Negotiating new business, renewal terms, mid-term adjustments, and cover extensions. Supporting the broking function to achieve optimal solutions.
- Preparing marketing presentations and renewal reports, working with Broking Managers for cover comparisons.
- Building effective relationships with insurers, highlighting cover, service, and industry knowledge.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with clients, updating Client Managers on developments.
- Identifying revenue opportunities within client accounts and making recommendations.
- Ensuring contract certainty and acting as an escalation point for contract queries, mentoring colleagues as appropriate.
- Representing Aon professionally, demonstrating understanding of corporate objectives, supporting colleagues, and continually improving personal knowledge through training.
Skills and experience that will lead to success include:
- Experience in the commercial insurance industry, with client relationship management skills in core risks.
- Strong insurer relationships.
- Commercial understanding of business drivers, market forces, and risks.
- High knowledge of FCA Principles and Procedures.
- Technical knowledge in major classes like Property, Casualty, and Combined.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver accurately and timely.
- CII Qualifications.
