International Casualty & Specialty Analytics Director at Aon, based in London.
Reporting to the Head of International & Specialty Analytics for Commercial Risk.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across broking and analytics development teams to deliver strategic tool deliverables.
- Support brokers in key client meetings and complex client conversations, translating actuarial concepts into actionable recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Leverage analytic platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake to enhance data management, processing, and analysis capabilities.
- Own and maintain critical data assets for organization‑wide use, providing thought leadership on management information and industry insights.
- Perform day‑to‑day development and oversight of strategic analytic tools supporting casualty and specialty insurance broking.
Qualifications
- Qualified Actuary with experience in pricing within the commercial insurance sector, ideally in casualty and/or specialty.
- Proven experience in commercial lines pricing: loss curve fitting, exposure modelling, or stochastic modelling.
- Demonstrable experience in pricing infrastructure – building and refining pricing algorithms, tools, and analytics using best‑practice industry techniques.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python or R.
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog or Snowflake.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
