Programme Structure
Join Aon as an actuarial consulting insurance graduate and be part of either the Strategy & Technology Group (STG) or the Reinsurance Analytics team.
Strategy & Technology Group (STG) – Insurance Actuarial Consulting
- You will be part of a multi-disciplined, collaborative actuarial consulting team that supports a wide range of clients across the non-life insurance value chain.
- Access to Aon\\\’s proprietary data, software, and global network of insurance industry experts to provide innovative insights.
- Join a growing team of 45+ actuarial consultants, with opportunities to learn from experienced professionals and progress toward a professional qualification.
- Engage in technical and consulting training workshops and develop skills to manage client relationships.
Reinsurance Analytics Graduate Programme
- Our Reinsurance Analytics team offers catastrophe management, actuarial, rating agency advisory, and risk & capital strategy expertise.
- Work with brokers on risk transfer products or engage in broader analytic and modelling engagements with 400+ specialists globally.
- As an Actuarial Graduate, responsibilities include technical delivery of work and communicating findings to brokers and clients.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Reinsurance pricing and analysis
- Actuarial model building and testing
- Data preparation and presentation of results and advice to clients and brokers
- Actuarial research and development
Your Development
As an Aon Graduate, you will be enrolled onto our Launch Programme built around three core elements:
- Business learning: on-the-job learning to develop knowledge of your team and solution line.
- Centralised learning: Aon induction, monthly webinars, business skills training and workshops to build knowledge, confidence, and network.
- Professional Qualifications: complete study towards the Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). Paid study leave and materials provided.

Career Progression
After completing the graduate programme, you will continue to receive support for technical and business skills, with regular performance feedback and opportunities for promotion from Associate to Consultant and beyond. Your role will evolve with experience, taking on greater project and client management responsibilities.
Next Steps
We have opportunities in both the STG and Reinsurance Analytics teams. Review each team and indicate your first-choice preference. We will consider first-choice where possible, but cannot guarantee it due to role availability. If your first choice is unavailable at the Assessment Centre, we will consider you for the other teams.
Entry Requirements
- As both programmes are mathematically based career paths, you will need to have or be on track to achieve a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a maths, actuarial science, or other highly numerical degree
- You will need to have achieved an A-grade or above in Maths A-level, A-grade in Maths Scottish higher or international equivalent

- Excellent numerical ability with diverse numerate backgrounds
- Passion and curiosity about the relationship between the Reinsurance industry and the global/macroeconomic environment

- Strong communication skills to present complex ideas using data analysis clearly
- A self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
Locations
Both roles are based in our London office. The initial 6 months will be in the office to support learning and progression, after which there will be flexibility to spend at least 3 to 4 days face-to-face in the office or with clients.
