US Casualty Broker – Rail

Are you interested in joining Aon as a Placing Broker in our US Casualty Rail team based in London? Are you able to co-ordinate and contribute to the marketing and negotiation of US Casualty Rail business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis? If so, then we\’d love to hear from you in connection with this hybrid opportunity that involves a blended home/office working arrangement.

What the day will look like

  • Assist in defining marketing strategy (specific to placement)
  • Review Submission
  • Lead quote broking / Follow market broking
  • Present terms to client / network
  • Firm Order broking (Ebix / wet stamps / email)
  • Record broking activity in market sheets
  • Review draft / final MRC
  • Send Cover confirmation
  • Provide benchmarking and placement advice to clients
  • Client meetings
  • Respond to A/C queries
  • Assist in establishing and managing pipeline of new business
  • Assist in market Relationship Management

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience gained within the London insurance market as either a Broker or Insurer
  • Experience in handling US Casualty risk and expertise in rail most advantageous
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to utilise insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service
  • Experience of managing effective client relationships
  • Ability to interpret and use data
  • Good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation
