Aon is looking for a Risk Analyst to join our Lender Insurance Advisory (LIA) Team, hybrid in Chicago, IL. An opportunity has arisen for a Risk Analyst to join Aon’s U.S. Lender Insurance Advisory & Risk Management consulting practice. Aon’s Lender Insurance Advisory & Risk Management Consulting practice provides insurance expertise and assurance to lenders and investors that the insurance coverages for their borrower or project company are adequate to protect assets and income streams.

Opportunity for an accomplished and enthusiastic risk management and insurance professional to help lead a fast-growing consulting Practice and develop the knowledge and skills to:

  • Collaborate as part of a team that delivers high-value strategic consulting to Developers, Lenders, Investors, Banking Institutions, and Private Equity Firms.
  • Draft and review project proposals answering RFPs.
  • On assigned projects, lead execution from start-to-finish and manage day-to-day activities and goals.
  • Assist in maintaining departmental databases, templates, and other structured information.
  • Assist Project Manager and Practice Director with business development and administration, including budgets, revenue projections, annual, and 5-year plans.
  • Document business processes and organizational policies.

To Be Considered Qualified for This Role:

  • Enjoys and excels at solving complex problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or similar).
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Insurance or Risk Management (in consulting, operations, working for a large insurance carrier, law firm, and/or a corporate insurance department).
  • Familiar with insurance coverages – preferably commercial lines.
  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn various collaboration tools e.g., Microsoft tools, Microsoft Teams, AI Tools (Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT), etc. to enhance communications and collaboration.
  • Excellent customer service skills focused on delivering results.
  • Strong written and verbal communications, and the ability to effectively explain complex concepts to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A keen interest in insurance and a willingness to learn; curious about client businesses and insurance programs and quick to learn the important elements.
  • Attention to detail, very well organized and able to analyze and present information in multiple formats to suit the intended audience.
  • Embodies a positive image to all audiences and is used to working with senior stakeholders.

Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
