What the day will look like

The key role of the Principal Consultant is to work consultatively with teams across Aon to deliver workforce transformation for our clients.

Working alongside a team of experienced I/O Psychologists and Human Capital consultants, you will be given the unique opportunity to use psychology to develop data-led solutions and drive strategic workforce change in the ever-growing and competitive UK Market.

Day to day, this includes:

  • Contributing to cross functional teams to join the dots between people analytics, assessment, L&D, rewards, and performance.
  • Consulting on our solutions in areas of competency framework design.
  • Workshop design and delivery (including team effectiveness).
  • Using qualitative analysis to develop behavioural and skills taxonomies.
  • Leadership assessment.
  • Presenting on webinars and podcasts.
  • Attending events with potential clients.
  • Contributing to RFPs, proposals and pitches.
  • Supporting on scoping, costing and statement of work writing.
  • Expanding services with our existing clients, developing client relationships.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to our psychology team.
  • Potentially line managing a small team of more junior consultants and supporting with their wider development.

  • Chartered Occupational Psychologist, or working towards chartership, would be desirable.
  • Previous line management experience would also be desirable.
