What the day will look like
The main responsibility of the role is to lead on the negotiation and placement of insurance into the Group Risk market. In this role the Broker will add value to our clients through strong negotiation on terms, proposition and pricing and making recommendations that align to our client requirements. A key requirement of the role will be promoting Aon’s Broking Proposition to existing and prospect Aon Health clients, understanding client requirements, providing relevant market insight and delivering data driven analytics through the Market Review process. Through building and maintaining strong relationships with key carrier stakeholders the Broker will develop their understanding of market propositions and how they can add value to our clients. This will further support on negotiations and delivering results in line with client expectations.
- Negotiate, recommend and placement for Group Risk reviews
- Work alongside the Consulting teams in the delivery of Aon’s Broking proposition
- Ensure all market review reports are completed within the timescale allocated and all recommendations in line with the clients’ objectives
- Lead or support in any ad hoc project work that arises
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key carrier stakeholders
- Stay up to date with employee benefit trends in the industry, monitor market developments and use this knowledge to deliver further client value

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Group Risk market experience, ideally with GR1 qualification
- Strong negotiation skills
- Client/insurer facing experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Group Risk schemes (Group Income Protection, Group Life Assurance, Group Critical Illness)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise urgent requests
- Build strong multi-layer relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and externally
- Working well as part of a client delivery team to deliver value to clients
